Wednesday, February 15, 1 to 4pm Growing Old Garden Roses: Plant selection, Pruning, Pests, and Propagation. This Comal Master Gardener Class is open to the public. This is an in-depth class on growing roses. Pack a lunch, come early, and eat with us in the garden. FREE Saturday, March 2, 10am Veggies in Your Backyard. Do you ever wish your veggies looked and tasted as good as the neighbor’s? From soil prep to harvest, Keith Amelung will share his gardening expertise and recipes on growing the best veggies ever. FREE Saturday, March 10, 10am Herbs 101: A Guide for Herbal Success. Join us for a morning of growing and using herbs. Cindy Meredith is our herbal gal pal for all the best information on raising herbs. Don’t be afraid to grow herbs; be inspired! FREE Saturday, March 31, 10am to 2pm The San Antonio Rose Society is going to be in the garden to answer your rose-y questions. It’s our 14th anniversary, and we want to celebrate a special Valentine with YOU! We have programs scheduled for both February 11 and 12, Saturday and Sunday, at 1pm. Door Prize drawings will be held both days. We will be serving refreshments too! Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12th at 1pm. We will lead a discussion on Growing Roses: The Ultimate Garden Plant. Learn just how easy it is to grow roses. We’ll share our tips and techniques for rose growing successes. You will be able to conquer all your rose pruning fears after these workshops. Saturday the program will be led by our owner, Mike Shoup. Sunday the program will be lead by the San Antonio manager, Robbi Will. Our San Antonio location turns 14 years old on the 14th of February, and we think that’s pretty special. Our Valentine for you is a very special pricing on our two gallon roses. Our two gallon roses are will be on sale February 10th through February 14th for $14.00 each. This sale will be limited to stock on hand at the San Antonio location only. Give a rose that keeps on giving this Valentine Day! ----------- Did you know the Rose is the Herb of the Year for 2012?
