"Proven Selections" brand selection of Scutellaria. This orange is hard to describe. "Scooter (TM) Flame" is the name.
"Scooter (TM) Barberry". Crimson red. Really cool flowers. These photos do not do the plants justice.Scutellaria mostly known around here as Pink Skullcap (S. suffrutescens) with its tiny leaves and sun/heat loving qualities. These new selections have big juicy leaves and will bloom brightly in the Central Texas shade. Almost looks like S. costaricana or Costa Rican Skullcap.
I would treat these new selections as tender perennials or tropicals.
