Road block

Here we go....

This time is for real!

I wish the folks in charge of signs on the highway could spell.....

(I realize looking back at this blog I have moments of grammar gone wrong. I cringe for a moment and then realize there are only a few of you out there actually reading this stuff. )

Road closure..... (sigh)

It seems capitalism has won out and the road closure will not be happening this weekend. TxDOT now tells us it will be some time in January. Now that you know all the detours (see post on Dec 15th) get out here any way you like.

Signs for the weekend....

Feeling like a drive in the country this weekend? Come to the Antique Rose Emporium... but not the usual route.

TXDOT is working on our closest intersection - Nacogdoches (FM2252) and Evans Road.

If driving from Loop 1604 exit Green Mountain (west of Nacodoches), turn right on Evans Road and then left into our driveway 1.3 miles later.

If driving from FM3009, take the back entrance. South on FM2252, right turn on Marbach, left turn on Jethro, follow the road as it becomes gravel, goes through a horse farm and into our back gate.

This detour will only last this weekend. Be aware construction on Nacogdoches will continue through the spring.
