Update - Madame Driout

View of our "pegged" rose Madame Driout. Blooms all along the stem are really opening now. The orange flower in this photo is a California poppy.

Madame Driout

It is difficult to tell from this photo, but this shrub has been "pegged" into a wagon wheel shape. The canes have been bent down and are pinned to the ground using landscape staples.

If you click on this photo, you will see many buds have formed laterally all along the canes. This will be an incredible show very soon.

This is one of the flowers up close. Streaks of carmine on the light pink petals. Madame Driout is a Tea rose with a lovely fragrance. I will try to get a photo of the full bloom. You can always come out and see it for yourself....
