Monday photos

This little guy was up by the Sales Office. It was so cold and cloudy this morning I am certain he was waiting for the sun. (Hypsiboas granosus? Pristimantis acuminatus? Help!)

Prickly poppy (Argemone sp.)blooming in the ditch by the back parking lot. These are the tall white blooms you see out in the fields these days.

California poppies

Coming up all around the base of the windmill! These have reseeded themselves successfully for the last few years. Plant them in full sun and try not to disturb the planting area in the future. The seeds will self sow and return with new plants each spring.

Want a Cottage Garden?

This photo was taken April 3, 2008. To create this look you must be planting now. The large red pom-pom flowers are double maroon poppies. Pick them up now - we have them in 4" pots for $1.50. Many colors to choose from.
